Younger: NDP Push Harper Style Rebranding of Nova Scotia
October 6, 2011
(Halifax, NS)Liberal Communications NS critic Andrew Younger says Premier Darrell Dexter is taking a page from Prime Minister Stephen Harper's playbook by rebranding government construction signage and the government website with official NDP election slogans.
"The NDP have begun posting signs at construction projects which include a variant of their ‘Today's Families’ election slogan," says Younger. "Now the government website is branded in the same fashion."
Younger says that while he expects a government to use its website to advise the public of its programs and services, the NDP have begun turning the government site into a giant NDP re-election site.
"Not only is it inappropriate to use government resources to promote an NDP party slogan, but it is offensive to the many Nova Scotians who feel the NDP government has not been there for families since they were elected.”
